GORBACHEV’S FAVOURITE BAND (I GUESS)

It’s all about the ex-Soviet Union I guess. I mean there was this football club called Torpedo Moscow and this song From Russia etc… that you perhaps already know if you are interested in the Swedish rock scene or if you read Nina Kinert‘s musical advice. Soviet Union ? I’m not too sure though…

It might be all about great pop-rock melodies then. Torpedo‘s songs are full of little great ideas such as the verse of From Russia with Love. Catchy. Simple. Obvious. And quite self-confident in its quality.

With members of great bands such as Tiger Lou or The Je ne sais quoi (how could I have not mentionned them in Absolut Noise already ??) within, Torpedo shows – as journalists use to say – great promises. Only one EP released (untitled Anticlockwise), but the future of these guys is probably bright, in Sweden, maybe in the States, hopefully in France and why not in Russia ?

Entrainant. Simple. Evident.
