At first, there was The Berndt. I wrote a post about them, summing them up as « bumpy ».
Now there is Theo Berndt. Actually, the same band with a new – funny – name. Maybe because the « the » trend is dead. Maybe for another reason. I don’t know. Anyway, they are back with a new – that one can call « debut », I guess – album called F.E.A.R.S that will be released end of May. A first single named Supersized was released back in March. Here is the brand new one called It’s complicated. You will not find it anywhere else, this is an Absolut Noise premiere.
So, It’s complicated is actually NOT that complicated. It is full of « ohhhhh » in its chorus like a We are the Storm tune. It’s very pop, very joyful. Probably too long. A love song quite entertaining with its Facebook references. A tune that you cannot stop whistling without even noticing. Contagious. Kind of Weezer on speed.
