If you don’t know Alouatta, you should check them out. I mentionned them in this blog several times. Actually, each time they released a new song or something. The point of this not well known band seems to play heavy rock music as loud as possible. Nevermind what the others might think. Nevermind the lyrics. Nevermind the bollocks.

Karl Buhre is the singer of Alouatta. But his debut and brand new Fieldwork EP is probably the opposite to his band. Here, the point seems to play the guitar next to a fireplace. Like a dark Jose Gonzalez. Or Ryan Adams. Or Bruce Springsteen when Bruce Springsteen does not shout. I did not expect that from someone I pictured as kind of punk. But I guess a true punk just goes his own way, and in this respect, this EP is a sweet and soft hidden music gem that I warmly recommend.

PS : you can download the song Stealing Horses in this post. Buy the other songs in iTunes.
