Honey Mustard – debut album sampler
I read the press thing. It is written Honey Mustard “moves smoothly on the border of alternative rock, postgrunge and that sunny place very indie melodies brakes through”. The members of the band see it as an “indierockband”. Indie? Post-grunge? Well, it is true this could have been released in the 1990s. But it is not necessary a bad thing. 1990s remain musically much better than the 1980s, right? (or is it just cause I was a child during the 1980s and a teen during the 1990s?)
Their new single called Wire could be sum up as a We are the storm tune with a singer who had smoked more cigarettes than the Uppsala combo. The other tunes are just as melodic, keeping a pop-rock spirit at the same time.
Honey Mustard debut album will be out this Wednesday. All in all, a strong melodic piece of rock.Tweet
