Once again
Riddarna – Simma hem (new single)
I know what you’re gonna say: “Riddarna in Absolut Noise? Again?!!”
Well, yeah, maybe this blog is just a Riddarna fan one.
“Simme hem” is a great new single by the way.

Gustaf Spetz – Saknaden (video)
How about wandering a little bit in heaven? Ex-Eskju Divine singer (damn, I loved this band!) Gustaf Spetz second album “Saknaden” is about to be released on the 8th of May. His debut solo album was ok. But this new one seems to sound a step better.
If most of songs go from left to right in my head, I can only picture Gustaf Spetz music through a poetic “bottom-up” movement. I mean, he tells us stories that seem to elevate from the ground to the sky. A little bit like Promise & the Monster, but less dark. Here, everything is illuminated. And if you cannot see the beauty within it, it means you are already dead.

Karin Ström – New York (video)
Karin Ström again, Karin Ström at least! First time I mentioned her in this blog was seven years ago! She just released her first EP on a Canadian label. I loved it. Then I have been following her career from her long silence to her electro return sung in Swedish, through a long interview when she told me about her whole career. I even told you about her “ghost album”…
And now? She’s back. To her roots. With a pop sound and some English lyrics. A whole album is expected with songs dedicated to different cities. “New York” and “Los Angeles” were actually released months ago. I’m so damn late on this, I know. But now there is a new video, time has come to dedicate her a new post. Is it good music? Sure it is. Fresher than her electro time. Very sweet. Definitely pop. I confess I prefer “New York” than “Los Angeles”: because in my Karin Ström world, the bumpiest the better!
Next cities after LAX and NYC: Havana, Stockholm, Nashville, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Montreal, Reykjavik and Kristianstad!

John Ola – Horror Vacui (video)
John Ola used to be the guitarist of C.Aarmé, one of my fav Swedish punk bands… and god knows this country holds plenty of great Swedish punk bands!
C.Aarmé was nervous and rageous. John Ola seems, at first listen, to take a total opposite direction with his solo project. His LP (Spotify // iTunes) sounds like the peace after the rage, or the calm before the storm. In two words: post apocalyptic. In four words : The sound of emptiness.
So, yeah, this might not be musically speaking “punk”, but somehow the spirit of this solo project remains punk. Radical.
