If you wanna be featured in this blog, you have to name one of your song “Amanda Lear“. Nightmen did it. It is the tune #10 from their debut album “Fifteen minutes of pain” released in April (get it there). Ok, a title is not everything. And truth is: there is no album ever which holds its best song as track #10.
With this album, as usual, the strongest tunes are in the first part of the record (“Hot days”, “Go go”, “Baby on the run”). The whole thing sounds quite the same that what Terrible Feelings sounded like when they released their first demos. I mean the production suits perfectly for this kind of dirty-punk-rock-music-with-a-strong-pop-side, i.e. we got here a raw production here. With a “grunge” sound. Looove it.
It actually makes sense: the band shares Anton Colliander on guitar with Terrible Feelings (he has also played with Hurula live). Other members are from Yast and (brilliant brilliant band) MF/MB. So, yeah, Nightmen do not play it too smart. They just rock. Nevermind the bollocks and everything.Tweet
